Twas the Night Before Christmas Concert Dress Rehearsal

Today we did our final rehearsal for the Christmas concert...including a Hawaiian inspired nativity story (with styrofoam waves, fisherman, and a sarong wearing Mary and Joseph) and a lovely song and dance to Mele Kalikimaka.  But it finally dawned on my kids that there would be *gasp* people in the audience and not just an empty auditorium.  It was actually hilarious.  They were in mid sentence when two students walked in to set up the microphones for tomorrow...and the words just stopped coming and they all just stood there with their mouths hanging.  My associate and I just looked at each other and threw our hands up...it was up to the Concert gods because tomorrow is our "dress rehearsal" meaning they get to present it to the rest of the school body.

We'll see soon enough if the grade twos make it an oscar worthy event!
